Our Booking Policies: What Every Bride and Bridal Party Should Know
Most of the time, wedding morning is calm, happy chaos — mimosas, good music, everyone taking turns in the chair. But over the years we've also learned, sometimes the hard way, why a clear contract and a short list of ground rules matter. We've had appointments where a phone call ran the entire time a client was supposed to be sitting still, with a toddler climbing in and out of her lap between looks — and it made the whole morning run long, threw off everyone else's timeline, and made it hard to do our best work. Policies like the ones below aren't about being strict for the sake of it. They exist so every bride, every bridal party, and our team can have a smooth, on-time, beautifully finished wedding morning.
Here's a full rundown of what to expect once you book with us, so nothing catches you by surprise.
Every Booking Starts With a Contract
When you book with Native Beauty Artistry, you'll sign a client contract along with your deposit. This isn't just paperwork — it protects your date, spells out exactly what services you're booked for, and makes sure we're both on the same page about timing, payment, and expectations well before your wedding morning arrives.
Timeline Policies
The bridal party must be ready to start at the scheduled time. We build your morning timeline backward from your ceremony, and every appointment is scheduled back-to-back. If the first person isn't seated and ready when we arrive, it pushes back everyone behind her.
Waiting fee / no-show fee. If a scheduled client isn't ready and available within the appointment window, a waiting fee applies. A true no-show forfeits that service. We know wedding mornings are busy, but our schedule is often booked solid with other clients or weddings that same day.
Changes & Location Policies
Changes within 48 hours of the wedding. We understand that plans shift. If you need to change your location or number of services within 48 hours of your wedding, let us know right away — we'll do everything we can to accommodate it, though a change fee may apply since it can affect travel time, parking, and the rest of our day's schedule.
Location change fee. If your getting-ready location changes after booking, a fee may apply to cover adjusted travel and parking.
Getting-Ready Space Requirements
Climate control matters. Please make sure your getting-ready room has air conditioning or a fan running. Heat and humidity affect how foundation and other products apply and set, so a cool, comfortable space helps your look go on smoothly and last longer through photos and your ceremony.
In the Chair: Helping Us Do Our Best Work
A few simple habits make a big difference in how your final look turns out and how smoothly your appointment goes:
No eating in the chair. Please eat and drink before you sit down — food, coffee, and touch-ups don't mix well once foundation and lip color are on.
No texting in the chair. Phones down once you're in the chair, please. Looking down, talking, and moving make it difficult to apply makeup evenly and slow down your appointment (and everyone waiting after you).
Put contacts in and brush your teeth beforehand. Getting these done before you sit down keeps your appointment on schedule and means we're not waiting mid-application.
No holding babies while in the chair. We love your little ones, but for both safety and timing, please arrange for someone else to hold the baby during hair and makeup application.
Health & Safety Policies
Sick sanitization fee. If you or anyone in your party is feeling under the weather on the day of your appointment, please let us know in advance. A sanitization fee applies to properly clean and reset our kit before and after working on a client who isn't feeling well, to protect every other client we see.
No one sick around the makeup kit. For the same reason, we ask that anyone who isn't feeling well keep their distance from our kit and brushes, even if they're not the one being serviced.
No dogs or cats around the makeup. As much as we love pets, animals need to be kept away from our kit and workspace — pet hair and dander around open products isn't good for anyone's skin, including yours.
Equipment & Liability
Weight limit on our portable styling chair. For safety reasons, our travel chair has a weight limit. If you're unsure whether this applies to you or someone in your party, just ask — we're happy to talk through it ahead of time.
Broken equipment is the client's responsibility. If something in our kit is damaged during an appointment, the client is responsible for the cost of replacing it.
Why These Policies Exist
None of this is about being rigid — it's about protecting your wedding morning as much as ours. A clear contract, a realistic timeline, and a few ground rules mean every bride and bridal party gets our full attention and our best work, on schedule, without the surprises that come from an unpredictable morning. When everyone knows what to expect going in, the whole day runs better for it.
